
Eduardo López-Collazo, scientist Cuban born in Matanzas, July 3, 1969. Graduated in Nuclear Physics from Universidad de la Habana, and holds a doctorate in Pharmacy from the Complutense University of Madrid. He is the only foreigner to lead a research center in Spain. Currently, he is in charge of 1,700 professionals at the Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria del Hospital Universitario La Paz (IdiPaz) in Madrid. Author of "Coronavirus, ¿la última pandemia? (2020) and "¿Qué es el cáncer?" (2019), he has been included for years in the list of the most influential gay figures in Spain, according to the ranking of the newspaper El Mundo.
